Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) The Mission of the VFW is to foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts, to serve our veterans, the military, and our communities, and to advocate on behalf of all veterans.
American Legion The American Legion was chartered Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. Their mission is to enhance the well-being of America's veterans, their families, the military, and their communities by their devotion to mutual helpfulness. If you've served one day of active military duty since December 7, 1941, and were honorably discharged or still serve honorably, you're eligible for membership in The American Legion.
Red Cross Services for Veterans American Red Cross services for veterans date back to World War I. They offer confidential services to all veterans and their families by connecting them with local, state and national resources through their network of chapters in communities across the United States and offices on military installations worldwide.
